Bobby Jo Valentine brings his award-winning, soulful storytelling and songs to the library for a fourth return visit. Stephen Schwartz, Tony award-winning creator of Wicked and Godspell, describes Bobby's music as "catchy songs with intelligent, thoughtful lyrics in the tradition of Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, and Bruce Hornsby." His new album, The Thing About A Heart, explores our internal identities and their relationship to our ever-shifting outer world with imagination, poetry, and hopefulness.

Valentine was named Songwriter of the Year by the West Coast Songwriter's Association. He lives in the Pacific Northwest and tours the country bringing his soulful songs and stories to festivals, theaters, and even living room stages.

This program is made possible by a generous gift from Gerald and Lori Ernst.
