Caring for Wildlife: The Desert Wildlife Center's Mission and How You Can Help

Caring for Wildlife: The Desert Wildlife Center's Mission and How You Can Help In-Person

Leaders from the newly opened Desert Wildlife Center (DWC) will present an engaging talk about wildlife rehabilitation and education in our community. Located at the site of the former Coachella Valley Wild Bird Center in Indio, the new DWC is funded and operated by Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. Join us to discover why wildlife rehabilitation is essential for protecting biodiversity, the critical role education plays in fostering coexistence with wildlife, and to learn about the organization's plans for providing care to injured and orphaned animals. With baby bird season in full swing, this program will provide timely tips on how you can support young birds and other wildlife during this sensitive time. Discover practical ways to get involved and make a difference for the animals that share our desert home!
