Break through the confusion of the myriad of apps that populate our screens and explore some of the benefits of joining an online community while learning a few tricks to avoid the downsides.

Barbara A. Mudge began her adult life teaching high school then segued to a 40+ year career in motion picture sales and marketing. Her expertise has been called upon instructing film students in movie distribution at both Loyola University - Los Angeles and for the American Film Institute; she’s moderated and sat on panels at multiple international film festivals; and led industry groups on copyright and IP protections. An experienced copywriter and decades-long dog rescuer, Mudge’s devotion led to her recently published memoir, entitled MY HOOMAN AND ME. She is an avid user of social media and keeps a keen eye on the pros and cons of these ever-growing platforms as she prepares for and teachers her popular LIR class on the subject.
