Desert Wildlife Center Series: Saving Animals with Andy Blue In-Person
The Desert Wildlife Center rehabilitation facility is dedicated to helping our local wildlife to not just survive, but to thrive. In this lecture, speaker Andy Blue will take us across the globe to see how the extraordinary efforts of individuals can make a big difference in the well-being of imperiled wildlife, including his mission to save an injured Persian leopard in Iraq.
An experienced animal care manager, Blue worked for the San Diego Zoo for three decades before becoming the Campus Director at the San Diego Humane Society’s Project Wildlife campus in Ramona, where he oversaw the care of 1500 injured or orphaned animals annually. He is currently working on animal welfare projects in Mexico, Iraq, and Cuba, as well as serving as an advisor to the Desert Wildlife Center.
This program is presented in partnership with the new Desert Wildlife Center and Greater Palm Springs Animal Allies.
